Austin, Texas financial advisor Anthony DiValerio (CRD# 1769652) recently received an investor complaint alleging that his advice resulted in eight-figure damages. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority records show that he is registered as a broker and an investment advisor with Morgan Stanley.
Mr. DiValerio’s BrokerCheck report discloses one investor complaint. Filed in July 2024, it alleges that as a representative of Morgan Stanley, he provided “incorrect advice regarding the sale of Vertex stock.” The pending complaint alleges damages of $35 million.
Morgan Stanley’s website includes a profile of Mr. DiValerio that describes his background and experience as the founder of Front Street Group, a practice within the firm. “Drawing on more than 30 years of financial industry experience, Anthony works with clients to create integrated wealth plans focusing on fixed-income management, private equity and risk management strategies for concentrated positions,” it explains. “Prior to joining Morgan Stanley in 2008, Anthony worked as a private wealth advisor at UBS, also serving as a member of the Advisory Council to Management, the Global Circle of Excellence, the UBS Chairman’s Council and the Dow Jones Wealth Management Advisory Council.”
Elsewhere, the firm describes the Front Street Group’s approach to working with its clients. “We are well versed in the specialized needs of executives and entrepreneurs, from inter-generational wealth transfer to diversification of concentrated positions — even the public perception of personal financial decisions,” it states. “We will invest the time to understand your needs and preferences, and work with you to formulate a strategic vision and develop a systematic methodology to help achieve your goals.”
According to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Anthony DiValerio holds 36 years of securities industry experience. Based in Austin, Texas, he has been registered as a broker and an investment advisor with Morgan Stanley since 2009. His past registrations include Morgan Stanley & Company, UBS Financial Services, Donaldson Lufkin & Jenrette Securities Corporation, Tucker Anthony, Bear Stearns & Company, and Painewebber.
