Lowry Bayley: $500K Investor Complaint Against Indianapolis Advisor

Sanctuary Securities representative Lowry Bayley (CRD# 15409) has received an investor complaint alleging half a million dollars in damages. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority records show that he is a broker and financial advisor based in Indianapolis, Indiana, where he used to be registered with David A. Noyes & Company.

The sole pending investor complaint disclosed in his BrokerCheck report alleges that Mr. Bayley, while a representative of David A. Noyes & Company, failed to diversify the customer’s account. The pending complaint alleges damages of $500,000.

Failure to diversify, also known as over-concentration or concentration, describes a broker’s failure to invest a customer’s portfolio among a variety of assets. “A diversified portfolio,” notes FINRA, “tends to be harder to achieve than simply following the mantra: don’t put all your investment eggs in one basket.” To avoid the risks of over-concentration, FINRA recommends diversifying your portfolio across and within major asset classes, regularly rebalancing your portfolio, examining the mutual funds and exchange-traded funds in your portfolio, and keeping track of your investments’ liquidity.

According to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Lowry Bayley holds 56 years of securities industry experience. Based in Indianapolis, Indiana, he has been a representative of Sanctuary Securities since 1965. He has previously been affiliated with David A. Noyes & Company in Indianapolis, where he was registered as an investment advisor from 2005 until 2015. His credentials include the passage of five securities industry qualifying exams: the Uniform Investment Adviser Law Examination, or Series 65; the Uniform Securities Agent State Law Examination, or Series 63; the Securities Industry Essentials Examination, or SIE; the Registered Representative Examination, or Series 1; and the Registered Options Principal Examination, or Series 4. He is licensed in 32 states. (Information current as of May 17, 2022.)
