Kalamazoo, Michigan financial advisor Tom Schripsema (CRD# 3231760) recently received an investor complaint alleging that his conduct resulted in six-figure damages. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority records show that he is registered as a broker and an investment advisor with Edward Jones.
Mr. Schripsema’s BrokerCheck report discloses one investor complaint. Filed in September 2024, it alleges that an Edward Jones customer’s “joint IRA account was drained… into an unknown external account.” The pending complaint alleges damages of $400,000.
Edward Jones’ website includes a profile of Mr. Schripsema that describes his background and experience. “We are all driven by something different,” he writes. “For me, the source of my drive came into focus when I opened my third office in Texas Corners. Based in Kalamazoo, Michigan, he has been registered as a broker and an investment advisor with Edward Jones since 1999 and 2010, respectively. He has no prior registrations. His credentials include the passage of four securities industry qualifying exams: the General Securities Representative Examination, or Series 7; the Securities Industry Essentials Examination, or SIE; the Uniform Securities Agent State Law Examination, or Series 63; and the Uniform Combined State Law Examination, or Series 66.
