New Investor Complaint Against Sun City Advisor Jeffrey McKee

A recent investor complaint against Wells Fargo Clearing Services financial advisor Jeffrey McKee (CRD# 5721657) alleges that his conduct resulted in losses. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority records show that he is a broker and an investment advisor based in Sun City, Brook, Winslow, and Surprise, Arizona.

Mr. McKee’s BrokerCheck report discloses one investor complaint. Filed in September 2022, it alleges that he failed to follow the customer’s instructions “to move his account to cash in the face of declining market conditions, which resulted in losses.” The pending complaint alleges unspecified damages estimated to be at least $5,000.

FINRA Rule 2010 requires FINRA-associated persons to “observe high standards of commercial honor and just and equitable principles of trade.” Many types of unethical conduct, including the failure to follow a customer’s instructions, may be found to constitute violations of FINRA Rule 2010, provided the alleged activities occur “in the conduct of [the member’s] business.” Brokers who fail to uphold FINRA Rule 2010 may be held liable in the event of losses.

According to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Jeffrey McKee holds 12 years of securities industry experience. Based in Sun City, Brook, Winslow, and Surprise, Arizona, he has been a broker and an investment advisor with Wells Fargo Clearing Services since 2017. He was previously registered with Edward Jones in Lakeside, Arizona from 2009 until 2017. His credentials include the passage of three securities industry qualifying exams: the General Securities Representative Examination, or Series 7; the Securities Industry Essentials Examination, or SIE; and the Uniform Combined State Law Examination, or Series 66. He is licensed in Alabama, Arizona, California, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, Washington, and Wyoming. (Information current as of October 19, 2022.)
