Investment Center of Estes Park’s Jeffrey Morris: $150K Complaint

Recent investor complaints against Estes Park, Colorado financial advisor Jeffrey Morris (CRD# 2478499) allege that his investment recommendations resulted in six-figure damages. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority records show that he is a broker and an investment advisor with Moloney Securities, doing business as Investment Center of Estes Park.

Mr. Morris’s BrokerCheck report discloses two pending investor complaints. Both filed in October 2022, the complaints allege that he engaged in negligence and recommended unsuitable corporate bond investments. One complaint alleges damages of $105,000; the other alleges damages of $150,000. In identical statements included with both disclosures, Mr. Morris defended himself against the complaints, writing: “I refute the allegations of the claims.”

According to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Jeffrey Morris holds 28 years of securities industry experience. Based in Estes Park, Colorado, he has been registered as a broker and an investment advisor with Moloney Securities since 2012 and 2016, respectively, doing business as Investment Center of Estes Park. His past registrations include Moloney Investment Advisory (Carlinville, Illinois; 2016), Moloney Securities (Carlinville, Illinois; 2012-2016), Eagle One Investments (Carlinville, Illinois; 1988-2012), and Investment Centers of America (Appleton, Wisconsin; 1994-1998). His credentials include the passage of five securities industry qualifying exams: the General Securities Principal Examination, or Series 24; the General Securities Representative Examination, or Series 7; the Securities Industry Essentials Examination, or SIE; the Uniform Securities Agent State Law Examination, or Series 63; and the Uniform Investment Adviser Law Examination, or Series 65.
