Jonathan Bourgeois: $4 Million Complaint Against Wells Fargo Advisor

San Diego financial advisor Jonathan Bourgeois (CRD# 5757664) recently received an investor complaint alleging that his conduct resulted in damages exceeding $4 million. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority records show that he is currently registered as a broker and an investment advisor with Wells Fargo Clearing Services.

Mr. Bourgeois’ BrokerCheck report discloses one investor complaint. Filed in March 2024, it alleges that as a representative of Wells Fargo Clearing Services, he excessively traded and churned the customer’s account from 2020 until 2023. The pending complaint alleges damages of $4,159,826.04.

Wells Fargo’s website includes a profile of Mr. Bourgeois that describes his background and services. “As a Financial Advisor with Wells Fargo Advisors, I can deliver a full range of investment planning strategies tailored to your unique needs,” the profile states. “Whether you are investing for retirement, education expenses or some other goal, I will help you make informed decisions about your investment strategy. According to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Jonathan Bourgeois holds 13 years of securities industry experience. Based in San Diego, California, he has been registered as a broker and an investment advisor with Wells Fargo Clearing Services since 2011 and 2013, respectively. He was previously registered with Wells Fargo Investments in Del Mar, California from 2010 until 2011. His credentials include the passage of five securities industry qualifying exams: the Investment Company Products/Variable Contracts Representative Examination, or Series 6; the General Securities Representative Examination, or Series 7; the Securities Industry Essentials Examination, or SIE; the Uniform Securities Agent State Law Examination, or Series 63; and the Uniform Investment Adviser Law Examination, or Series 65. He is licensed in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Mississippi, Nevada, Ohio, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and Washington.
