Mark Siegel: UBS Advisor Receives 6-Figure Investor Complaint

Washington, DC financial advisor Mark Siegel (CRD# 1579229) recently received an investor complaint alleging that his conduct resulted in six-figure damages. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority records show that he is currently registered as a broker and an investment advisor with UBS Financial Services, having previously been registered with Merrill Lynch.

Mr. Siegel’s BrokerCheck report discloses one investor complaint. Filed in March 2024, it alleges that as a representative of UBS Financial Services, he “made decisions that were in his own financial interest” as opposed to the interest of the client and their family. The pending complaint alleges damages of $177,675.53.

UBS Financial Services’ website includes a profile of Mr. Siegel that describes him as a member of the practice Siegel, Martin & Associates. “Mark is a Portfolio Manager who helps clients pursue their goals and objectives using strategies that may incorporate individual stocks and bonds, model portfolios, ETFs, and other investment vehicles,” it states. “Mark has also worked with over 300 small and medium-sized business in establishing and maintaining employee retirement plans, providing Fiduciary guidance for both plan sponsors and their employees who are saving for retirement.”

According to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Mark Siegel holds 34 years of securities industry experience. Based in Washington, DC, he has been a broker and an investment advisor with UBS Financial Services since 2022. He was previously registered with Merrill Lynch in Washington, DC from 1989 until 2022. His credentials include the passage of four securities industry qualifying exams: the General Securities Representative Examination, or Series 7; the Securities Industry Essentials Examination, or SIE; the Uniform Securities Agent State Law Examination, or Series 63; and the Uniform Investment Adviser Law Examination, or Series 65.
