Deborah has been representing aggrieved investors who have lost their money due to stockbroker fraud and misconduct since 2004, first as a paralegal and then as an attorney, after passing the bar. She also has experience in matters of probate and trust administration, special education advocacy, family matters, business contracts, and is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Mediator in family law.
Deborah earned her Bachelor of Arts degree, magna cum laude, in Psychology from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. She then went on to earn her Juris Doctor degree from Nova Southeastern University’s Shepherd Broad Law Center as a Goodwin Scholar. While attending law school as a single parent of a very young child, Deborah earned the highest award available for the hundreds of hours she dedicated to pro bono work benefiting seniors while at Coast to Coast Legal Aid, in addition to her internship with the now retired Hon. Renee Goldenberg. She also earned a CALI book award representing her achievement of the highest score in interviewing and counseling. She has also been honored with inclusion in the Florida Super Lawyers List as a Rising Star for 2020. While up to 5 percent of lawyers in any state can be named a Super Lawyer, no more than 2.5 percent are named as Rising Stars.
Deborah prides herself in providing her clients with a warm, personal touch while practicing law and for her ability to put clients at ease as they go through the, sometimes daunting, legal process while remaining an aggressive advocate for her clients.
When she isn’t at the office, she is enjoys nature walks, spending time with family and friends, cooking, and playing with her pets.
