Keyan Keys: Did Edward Jones Advisor Misappropriate Funds?

A recent investor complaint against Childress, Texas financial advisor Keyan Keyes (CRD# 6942965) alleges that he misappropriated client funds. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority records show that he is registered as a broker and an investment advisor with Edward Jones.

Mr. Keys’ BrokerCheck report discloses one investor complaint. Filed in May 2024, it alleges that as a representative of Edward Jones, he misappropriated funds from the clients’ account. The pending complaint alleges damages of $50,258.51.

Edward Jones’ website includes a profile of Mr. Keys that describes his services and approach to working with clients. “Whether you’re planning for retirement, saving for college for children or grandchildren, or just trying to protect the financial future of the ones you care for the most, we can work together to develop specific strategies to help you achieve your goals,” it states. “We can also monitor your progress to help make sure you stay on track or determine if any adjustments need to be made. According to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Keyan Keys holds 18 years of securities industry experience. Based in Childress, Texas, he has been registered as a broker and an investment advisor with Edward Jones since 2019. His credentials include the passage of three securities industry qualifying exams: the Securities Industry Essentials Examination, or SIE; the General Securities Representative Examination, or Series 7TO; and the Uniform Combined State Law Examination, or Series 66. He is licensed in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Idaho, Illinois, Kentucky, Missouri, Nevada, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Texas, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming.
