Shubert Cineus: Simplicity Advisor Fired by Hornor Townsend & Kent

West Palm Beach, Florida financial advisor Shubert Cineus (CRD# 6736413) was terminated froma  former employer in connection with alleged rule violations. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority and Securities and Exchange Commission records show that the former Hornor Townsend & Kent broker is currently registered as an investment advisor with Simplicity Wealth and the managing director of Modern Edge Capital.

Mr. Cineus’ BrokerCheck report discloses his termination from Hornor Townsend & Kent. Filed in April 2025, the disclosure states that the firm fired him in connection with allegations that he “violated member firm policies regarding communications with the public and undisclosed Outside Business Activities.” No other information is provided.

Modern Edge Capital’s website includes a profile of Mr. Cineus that describes his background and services as the managing director of the firm, which offers securities and advisory services through Simplicity Wealth. “Shubert crafts comprehensive, tailored solutions to tackle complex retirement challenges,” it explains. “His practice thrives on honesty and integrity, easing the anxieties many feel about outliving their savings and empowering them with strategies for a confident, comfortable retirement… As a trusted financial professional, [he] blends experience, innovation, and a client-first ethos to redefine wealth management at Modern Edge Capital, ensuring your retirement dreams don’t just survive, they thrive.”

Elsewhere, the firm’s website describes its mission as an advisory firm. “[O]ur firm is committed to delivering tailored retirement planning and wealth management services that address the distinct goals of retirees and those preparing for this pivotal chapter,” it explains. “From retirement planning and education savings to managing life’s transitions, our team offers personalized, attentive wealth management and financial guidance every step of the way.”

According to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority and the Securities and Exchange Commission, Shubert Cineus holds seven years of securities industry experience. Based in West Palm Beach, Florida, he has been registered as an investment advisor with Simplicity Wealth since June 2025. His past registrations include Hornor Townsend & Kent and Northwestern Mutual Investment Services. His credentials include the passage of four securities industry qualifying exams: the Securities Industry Essentials Examination, or SIE; the General Securities Representative Examination, or Series 7; the Uniform Investment Adviser Law Examination, or Series 65; the Uniform Securities Agent State Law Examination, or Series 63.
