A second disclosure on her BrokerCheck report concerns her termination from PNC Investments. Filed in 2011, it states that the firm fired her in connection with allegations falsified a document, printing her name as “preparer” on a PNC Bank debit slip “although she did not prepare the document.”
FINRA rules stipulate that brokers like Ms. Wooden recommend only investments and strategies that conform to a standard referred to as suitability. As outlined by FINRA Rule 2111, this standard holds that brokers must “have a reasonable basis to believe that a recommended transaction or investment strategy” is appropriate for a client’s profile, which includes their age, investment background, net worth, risk tolerance, and other concerns.
