Josh Jaffe: Longbridge, Ex-Ameriprise Advisor Faced $202K Complaint

A recent, denied investor complaint against Newark, Ohio financial advisor Josh Jaffe (CRD# 5085863) alleged that his advice resulted in six-figure damages. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority records show that he is registered as a broker and an investment advisor with Steward Partners, whose website describes him as a member of the firm’s Longbridge Wealth group.

Mr. Jaffe’s BrokerCheck report discloses one investor complaint. Filed in September 2025, it alleges that as a representative of Ameriprise Financial Services, he unsuitably recommended the customer “establish a variable-rate securities backed line of credit attached to their Strategic Portfolio Services Advantage account.” The complaint alleged damages of $202,330 and was denied by the firm.

A second disclosure on Mr. Jaffe’s BrokerCheck report concerns his resignation from JP Morgan Chase Bank. Filed in 2020, it states that he voluntarily resigned from the firm in connection with allegations that he “failed to escalate a customer complaint.”

Steward Partners’ website includes a profile of Mr. Jaffe that describes his background and services as a member of Longbridge Wealth, a practice within the firm. As it explains, he develops personally tailored strategies for his customers with a focus on transparency, practicality, and opportunity. His approach involves a primary emphasis on financial planning and a secondary emphasis on investment management, it continues, with quarterly client meetings and semiannual reviews of customers’ financial plans.

According to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Josh Jaffe holds 19 years of securities industry experience. Based in Newark, Ohio, he has been registered as a broker and an investment advisor with Steward Partners since August 2025. His past registrations include Ameriprise Financial Services, JP Morgan Securities, Chase Investment Services, and PFS Investments. His credentials include the passage of five securities industry qualifying exams: the Securities Industry Essentials Examination, or SIE; the Uniform Combined State Law Examination, or Series 66; the Uniform Securities Agent State Law Examination, or Series 63; the General Securities Representative Examination, or Series 7; and the Investment Company Products/Variable Contracts Representative Examination, or Series 6. He holds 22 state licenses. (Information current as of December 8, 2025.)
