Lori Iaquinta: $4mm Complaint Against Morgan Stanley Advisor

A recent investor complaint against San Diego, California financial advisor Lori Iaquinta (CRD# 2393250) alleges that her advice resulted in seven-figure damages. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority records show that she is registered as a broker and an investment advisor with Morgan Stanley.

Ms. Iaquinta’s BrokerCheck report discloses multiple investor complaints. The most recent, filed in December 2025, alleges that as a representative of Morgan Stanley, she misrepresented material facts relating to the rate of charges on a managed account. The pending complaint alleges damages of $4 million.

A second investor complaint, filed in 2009, alleged that as a representative of Banc of America Investment Services, she recommended unsuitable investments and failed to disclose material risks. The complaint alleged damages of $189,000 and was denied by the firm.

A third investor complaint, filed in 2003, alleged that as a WM Financial Services, she made unsuitable investment recommendations. The complaint alleged damages of $30,353.71 and was denied by the firm.

A fourth investor complaint, filed in 2001, alleged that as a representative of WM Financial Services, she stated that the client “would be guaranteed 15% interest on 100% of investment for 6 months.” In 2004 the complaint reached a settlement of $35,000.

According to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Lori Iaquinta holds 32 years of securities industry experience. Based in San Diego, California, she has been registered as a broker and an investment advisor with Morgan Stanley since 2009. Her past registrations include Morgan Stanley & Company, Banc of America Investment Services, WM Financial Services, Wells Fargo Securities, Thomas James Associates, and Chatfield Dean & Company. Her credentials include the passage of four securities industry qualifying exams: the Securities Industry Essentials Examination, or SIE; the Uniform Investment Adviser Law Examination, or Series 65; the Uniform Securities Agent State Law Examination, or Series 63; and the General Securities Representative Examination, or Series 7. She is licensed in Arizona, Arkansas, California, Florida, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, Nevada, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Washington, and Wyoming.
