Danish Rauf: FINRA Bars Ex-US Bancorp Advisor

Former Des Plaines, Illinois financial advisor Danish Rauf (CRD# 5006655) was recently sanctioned and barred in connection with alleged rule violations. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority records show that he was most recently registered as a broker with US Bancorp Investments.

A Letter of Acceptance, Waiver, and Consent (No. 2025088422001) describes FINRA’s disciplinary action against Mr. Rauf. Filed in March 2026, it states that FINRA launched an investigation into whether he “participated in soliciting investments into an undisclosed outside business activity.” As part of this investigation, FINRA sent him a request to produce information and documents. The letter notes that FINRA Rule 8210 empowers the agency to request persons under its jurisdiction to provide information and documents connected with matters under its investigation, and requires such persons to comply. Mr. Rauf allegedly indicated to FINRA via counsel that he had received its request but would not produce the information or documents as requested. FINRA found that he violated Rule 8210 as well as Rule 2010, which requires persons associated with FINRA to observe high standards of commercial honor and just and equitable principles of trade in the course of their business. As a result of these findings, FINRA barred him from associating with any member firm in any capacity.

Mr. Rauf’s BrokerCheck report discloses his termination from US Bancorp Investments. Filed in November 2025, it states that the firm fired him in connection with allegations that he “participated in soliciting investments into an undisclosed Outside Business Activity in violation of FINRA Rules 3270 and 3280 and Firm policy.”

According to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Danish Rauf holds 16 years of securities industry experience. Most recently based in Des Plaines, Illinois, he was last registered as a broker with US Bancorp Investments from 2016 until 2025. His registration history includes Fifth Third Securities and Chase Investment Services Corporation. His credentials include the passage of five securities industry qualifying exams: the Securities Industry Essentials Examination, or SIE; the Uniform Combined State Law Examination, or Series 66; the Uniform Securities Agent State Law Examination, or Series 63; the Investment Company Products/Variable Contracts Representative Examination, or Series 6; and the General Securities Representative Examination, or Series 7TO. He is no longer licensed with any state or firm (Information current as of March 7, 2026.)
