Deb Mesle: Why Did Huntleigh Advisor Resign from Merrill Lynch?

Chesterfield, Missouri financial advisor Deb Mesle (CRD# 849766) resigned from a former member firm in connection with alleged rule violations. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority records show that the former Merrill Lynch representative is registered as a broker with Huntleigh Securities Corporation and an advisor with Huntleigh Advisors.

Ms. Mesle’s BrokerCheck report discloses her resignation from Merrill Lynch. Filed in December 2025, the disclosure states that she voluntarily left the firm in connection with allegations that she exercised time and price discretion in customer accounts.

In a statement included with the disclosure, Ms. Mesle defended herself against the allegations. “The termination disclosure filed by Merrill Lynch on 1/9/2026 alleges that I resigned in December 2025 after allegations had been made accusing me of ‘violating investment-related statutes, regulations, rules or industry standards of conduct,’” she wrote. “I deny any allegations that I violated investment-related statutes, regulations, rules or industry standards of conduct. The client did not allege wrongdoing or seek damages, and no regulator or court was involved. I do not believe my clients intended their inquiry to be construed as a complaint. The matter was closed with no action.”

According to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Deb Mesle holds 48 years of securities industry experience. Based in Chesterfield, Missouri, she has been registered as a broker with Huntleigh Securities Corporation and an advisor with Huntleigh Advisors since December 2025. Her past registrations include Merrill Lynch, UBS Financial Services, Prudential Securities, Dean Witter Reynolds, and EF Hutton & Company. Her credentials include the passage of seven securities industry qualifying exams: the Securities Industry Essentials Examination, or SIE; the Uniform Investment Adviser Law Examination, or Series 65; the Uniform Securities Agent State Law Examination, or Series 63; the General Securities Sales Supervisor – General Module Examination, or Series 10; the General Securities Sales Supervisor – Options Module Examination, or Series 9; the Futures Managed Funds Examination, or Series 31; and the General Securities Representative Examination, or Series 7.
