Mike Gestone: $1mm Complaint Against Greenbird Capital Advisor

A recent investor complaint against Boca Raton, Florida financial advisor Mike Gestone (CRD# 5984302) alleges seven-figure damages. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority records show that he is registered as a broker with Greenbird Capital, having previously been registered with National Securities Corporation.

Mr. Gestone’s BrokerCheck report discloses one investor complaint. Filed in March 2026, it alleges that as a representative of Greenbird Capital, he violated of FINRA Rule 3010 and Section 20(a) of the Securities Exchange Act, and engaged in unspecified other “causes of action in connection with alleged conduct by a non-member entity.” Noting that he is not named as a respondent but as the representative who handled the claimant’s account, the pending complaint alleges damages of $1 million.

For reference, FINRA Rule 3010 required that member firms “establish and maintain a system to supervise the activities of each registered representative, registered principal, and other associated person that is reasonably designed to achieve compliance with applicable securities laws and regulations.” It has been superseded by FINRA Rule 3110, which similarly requires firms to “establish and maintain a system to supervise the activities of each associated person that is reasonably designed to achieve compliance with applicable securities laws and regulations, and applicable FINRA rules.” Section 20(a) of the Securities Exchange Act, meanwhile, makes individuals or entities liable for the actions of persons under their control, potentially making supervisory and management personnel at broker-dealer firms liable for the misconduct of representatives under their management.

According to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Mike Gestone holds 14 years of securities industry experience. Based in Boca Raton, Florida, he has been registered as a broker with Greenbird Capital since 2021. His past registrations include National Securities Corporation, IAA Financial, Wilmington Capital Securities, Whitewood Group, and Obsidian Financial Group. His credentials include the passage of three securities industry qualifying exams: the Securities Industry Essentials Examination, or SIE; the Uniform Securities Agent State Law Examination, or Series 63; and the General Securities Representative Examination, or Series 7. He holds 50 state licenses. (Information current as of May 10, 2026.)
