Joshua Belcher: Why Was Edward Jones Broker Fired?

Colwich, Kansas financial advisor Joshua Belcher (CRD# 6106238) was recently fired by his former member firm in connection with alleged rule violations. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority records show that he is registered as an investment advisor with Convergence Financial.

Mr. Belcher’s BrokerCheck report discloses his termination from Edward Jones. Filed in April 2026, the disclosure states that the firm fired him in connection with allegations that he violated the firm’s “no cash policy.”

A second disclosure on his BrokerCheck report concerns a FINRA investigation into his conduct. Filed in February 2026, it states that the agency is investigating allegations that he violated firm policy.

Although the disclosures provide no specific context regarding the “no cash policy” at issue in Mr. Belcher’s conduct, it is possible that the policy relates to the firm’s anti-money laundering procedures. For reference, FINRA Rule 3110 requires that member firms “develop and implement a written anti-money laundering program reasonably designed to achieve and monitor the member’s compliance with the requirements of the Bank Secrecy.” Potential violations of firm policies may also contravene FINRA Rule 2010, which stipulates that brokers must “observe high standards of commercial honor and just and equitable principles of trade.”

According to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Joshua Belcher holds 13 years of securities industry experience. Based in Colwich, Kansas, he has been registered as an investment advisor with Convergence Financial since May 2026. His registration history includes Edward Jones, which he joined in 2012. His credentials include the passage of three securities industry qualifying exams: the Securities Industry Essentials Examination, or SIE; the Uniform Combined State Law Examination, or Series 66; and the General Securities Representative Examination, or Series 7. He is licensed in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nevada, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas, Virginia, and Washington. (Information current as of May 12, 2026.)
