Charlotte, North Carolina financial advisor Bob Reese (CRD# 5880465) allegedly misrepresented investments, according to a recent investor complaint. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority records show that he is registered as a broker with Innovation Partners and the founder of Aditum Group.
Mr. Reese’s BrokerCheck report discloses one investor complaint. Filed in March 2026, it alleges that as a representative of Secure Capital Research, he invested the customer’s funds in illiquid private placements, misrepresented alternative investments, and concentrated investments in life insurance and real estate, including CA Ventures GPFund II, CA Ventures GP Fund III, and HA Select-Waterford LLC. The pending complaint alleges damages of $500,000.
In a statement included with the complaint’s disclosure, Mr. Reese denied the allegations. “The attorney that filed the claim on behalf of the investor is completely misguided as the investor was not a client of Mr. Reese pursuant to FINRA definitions,” he wrote. “Notwithstanding, the individual was an experienced individual who raised money for his own entity and having sought out alternative investments on his own initiative. Mr. Reese will seek dismissal of the action and expungement of the fraudulent claim.”
According to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Bob Reese holds 14 years of securities industry experience. Based in Charlotte, North Carolina, he has been registered as a broker with Innovation Partners since 2021. His past registrations include Secure Capital Research, JP Morgan Securities, and Belvedere Trading. His credentials include the passage of six securities industry qualifying exams: the Securities Industry Essentials Examination, or SIE; the Uniform Securities Agent State Law Examination, or Series 63; the Securities Trader Exam, or Series 57TO; the General Securities Representative Examination, or Series 7; the Proprietary Trader Qualification Examination, or Series 56; and the General Securities Principal Examination, or Series 24. The founder of Aditum Group, he holds 19 state licenses. (Information current as of May 18, 2026.)
