New York City financial advisor Bob Anderson (CRD# 5516) recently received an investor complaint alleging that his conduct resulted in damages exceeding $2 million. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority records show that he is registered as a broker with Beech Hill Securities and an investment advisor with Penbrook Management.
Mr. Anderson’s BrokerCheck report discloses one investor complaint. Filed in April 2026, it alleges that as a representative of Penbrook Management, he breached his fiduciary duty and converted funds. The pending complaint alleges damages of $2.479 million.
Investors should be aware that the conversion of investor funds is forbidden by FINRA Rule 2150. This rule stipulates that no FINRA-registered person “shall make improper use of a customer’s securities or funds.” Conversion may also be considered a violation of FINRA Rule 2010, which states that representatives like Mr. Anderson are required “observe high standards of commercial honor and just and equitable principles of trade” in the conduct of their business. Representatives who contravene these rules may be held liable for damages and/or subject to disciplinary action.
According to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Bob Anderson holds 56 years of securities industry experience. Based in New York, New York, he has been registered as a broker with Beech Hill Securities since 2013 and an investment advisor with Penbrook Management since 2007. His past registrations include Brean Capital, Brean Murray & Company, FSC Securities Corporation, Baer & Company, Martin Simpson & Company, and Wood Walker. His credentials include the passage of six securities industry qualifying exams: the Securities Industry Essentials Examination, or SIE; the General Securities Principal Examination, or Series 000; the General Securities Principal Examination, or Series 24; the General Securities Representative Examination, or Series 7TO; the Uniform Securities Agent State Law Examination, or Series 63; and the Registered Representative Examination, or Series 1.
