Denise Osadchuk: Southern Wealth Advisor Faced Complaint

A recent, denied investor complaint against Thibodaux, Louisiana financial advisor Denise Osadchuk (CRD# 6285199) alleged that her conduct resulted in damages. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority records show that she is registered as a broker and an investment advisor with Osaic Wealth, doing business as Southern Wealth Strategies.

Ms. Osadchuk’s BrokerCheck report discloses one investor complaint. Filed in June 2026, it alleged that as a representative of Woodbury Financial Services, she made misrepresentations of material facts in connection with the sale of market-linked notes. The complaint alleged unspecified damages and was denied by the firm.

In a statement included with the complaint’s disclosure, Ms. Osadchuk defended herself against the denied allegations. “We strongly disagree with the client’s characterization of the transaction,” she wrote. “The client was provided with all required disclosures, prospectuses, and was fully informed of the investment’s risks and potential outcomes prior to purchase. Based on the client’s objectives, financial circumstances, and risk tolerance at the time, we believe the recommendation was appropriate and the risks fully disclosed.”

For reference, FINRA Rule 2020 stipulates that financial advisors at FINRA member firms must not “effect any transaction in, or induce the purchase or sale of, any security by means of any manipulative, deceptive or other fraudulent device or contrivance.” What this means is that brokers are forbidden from making misrepresentations of material information—that is, information posing a significant consideration for investors weighing a particular investment product or strategy—related to their recommendations. Brokers who make misrepresentations may be held liable for damages in the event that an investment suffers losses, or they may even be held subject to disciplinary action by securities regulators.

According to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Denise Osadchuk holds 12 years of securities industry experience. Based in Thibodaux, Louisiana, she has been registered as a broker and an investment advisor with Osaic Wealth since 2024, doing business as Southern Wealth Strategies. Her past registrations include Woodbury Financial Services, Capital One Investing, and Ameriprise Financial Services. Her credentials include the passage of three securities industry qualifying exams: the Securities Industry Essentials Examination, or SIE; the Uniform Combined State Law Examination, or Series 66; and the General Securities Representative Examination, or Series 7. She holds 24 state licenses. (Information current as of June 28, 2026.)
