Las Vegas, Nevada financial advisor Shanna Kehoe (CRD# 4736468) recently received an investor complaint alleging that her conduct resulted in six-figure damages. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority and Securities and Exchange Commission records show that the former Cetera broker is currently registered as an investment advisor with CWM, also known as Carson Wealth.
Ms. Kehoe’s BrokerCheck report discloses one investor complaint. Filed in July 2026, it alleged that as a representative of CWM, she did not clearly explain an AQR tax-managed strategy whose benefit was not fully understood by the clients, who “would have considered other options available at the time” if they had understood it. The complaint reached a settlement of $115,000.
Securities industry standards require that representatives like Ms. Kehoe ensure that the investments and strategies they recommend are considered suitable for their clients. As FINRA Rule 2111 explains, this standard specifically means that brokers must “have a reasonable basis to believe that a recommended transaction or investment strategy” is appropriate for a customer’s investment profile, which includes such factors as age, investment background and objectives, net worth, risk tolerance, and more. An investment without principal protection, for example, might be unsuitable for conservative investors who can’t afford to lose their money. Brokers who recommend unsuitable products or strategies may be found liable in the event of losses.
According to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority and the Securities and Exchange Commission, Shanna Kehoe holds 22 years of securities industry experience. Based in Las Vegas, Nevada, she has been registered as an investment advisor with CWM since 2022. Her past registrations include Cetera Advisor Networks, First Allied Securities, LPL Financial, New England Securities, and MML Investors Services. Her credentials include the passage of three securities industry qualifying exams: the Securities Industry Essentials Examination, or SIE; the General Securities Representative Examination, or Series 7; and the Uniform Combined State Law Examination, or Series 66. (Information current as of October 12, 2026.)
