NFN8 Group Bankruptcy: Crypto-Mining Investors Were Sold by Salespeople With No FINRA Registration, SEC Records Show

NFN8 Group, Inc., an Austin, Texas company that sold investors interests in cryptocurrency-mining equipment and “hosting” arrangements, filed for Chapter 11 in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Texas on February 2, 2026 (Case No. 26-10193), along with NFN8 Capital LLC and NFN8 Holdings LLC.

Between February 2021 and August 2024, NFN8 filed twenty Form D notices with the SEC. By October 2021 those filings reported more than $12.6 million in sales — and more than $1 million in sales commissions. What stands out is who received the commissions.

The filings

Item 12 of each NFN8 Group filing lists six individuals as recipients of sales compensation: Randy Wright, Paul Campbell, Gabriel Meza, Colleen Zaruba, Pankaj Motwani and Jesse Meade. For each, the CRD-number field — the FINRA identifier every registered representative carries — is blank. No associated broker-dealer is named.
