Anne Davidson: Investor Complaint Against Wells Fargo Advisor

A recent investor complaint against Dallas, Texas financial advisor Anne Davidson (CRD# 728189) alleges that her conduct resulted in damages. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority records show that she is registered as a broker and an investment advisor with Wells Fargo Clearing Services and Wells Fargo Advisors, respectively.

Mr. Davidson’s BrokerCheck report discloses multiple investor complaints. The most recent, filed in November 2025, alleges that as a representative of Wells Fargo Advisors, she did not disclose that a failure to meet capital call requirements would put the customer’s principal at risk. The pending complaint alleges unspecified damages.

An earlier investor complaint, filed in 1989, alleged that as a representative of Painewebber Jackson & Curtis, she made unauthorized trades. The complaint evolved into an arbitration proceeding before a NASD panel, which issued an award of $3,808 to the claimant.

Investors should be aware that FINRA rules forbid brokers from misrepresenting or omitting material facts relating to the investments and strategies they recommend to their clients. FINRA Rule 2020 states specifically that no broker shall “effect any transaction in, or induce the purchase or sale of, any security by means of any manipulative, deceptive or other fraudulent device or contrivance.” may also violate FINRA Rule 2010, which stipulates that brokers like Ms. Davidson must “observe high standards of commercial honor and just and equitable principles of trade” in the conduct of their business. Brokers who violate these rules may be held liable for damages in the event of losses.

According to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Anne Davidson holds 44 years of securities industry experience. Based in Dallas, Texas, she has been registered as a broker and an investment advisor with Wells Fargo Clearing Services and Wells Fargo Advisors, respectively, since 2003. Her past registrations include Prudential Securities, Lehman Brothers, EF Hutton & Company, Painewebber, and Merrill Lynch. Her credentials include the passage of six securities industry qualifying exams: the Securities Industry Essentials Examination, or SIE; the Uniform Investment Adviser Law Examination, or Series 65; the Uniform Securities Agent State Law Examination, or Series 63; the National Commodity Futures Examination, or Series 3; the General Securities Representative Examination, or Series 7; and the Interest Rate Options Examination, or Series 5. She holds 27 state licenses. (Information current as of December 14, 2025.)
