Brian Pavelko: FINRA Investigates NI Advisor

Milpitas, California financial advisor Brian Pavelko (CRD# 6347352) allegedly engaged in a “deceptive scheme” involving private placement offerings, according to a regulatory investigation. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority records show that he is registered as a broker with NI Advisors, having previously been registered with SW Financial.

Mr. Pavelko’s BrokerCheck report discloses the FINRA investigation into his conduct. Filed in September 2024, it states that FINRA has made a preliminary determination to bring disciplinary action against him. The action would concern findings that he violated industry rules “material misrepresentations and omissions and engaging in a deceptive scheme in connection with private placement offerings.” FINRA alleges further that he made “material misrepresentations and omissions in connection with an application for and receipt of unemployment insurance benefits,” and that he refused to provide requested documents and information. This investigation remains pending.

NI Advisors’ website includes a profile of Mr. Pavelko that describes his background and experience, including his internship at Coastal Equities while still an undergraduate business finance major. “Over the next three years he built his book of business and serviced his clients well before deciding to move into capital markets,” it explains. “Over the past 6 years, in addition to his sales role, Mr. Pavelko has had the opportunity to work a multitude of roles within his organizations allowing him to learn a wide range of skills.”

According to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Brian Pavelko holds eight years of securities industry experience. Based in Milpitas, California, he has been registered as a broker with NI Advisors since 2022. His past registrations include SW Financial (2018-2022), Democracy Funding (2018), and Coastal Equities (2014-2016). His credentials include the passage of three securities industry qualifying exams: the General Securities Representative Examination, or Series 7; the Securities Industry Essentials Examination, or SIE; and the Uniform Securities Agent State Law Examination, or Series 63. He is registered in New Jersey. (Information current as of September 14, 2024.)
