Craig Friedrichsen: Complaints Against GamePlan Advisor Seek $150K

Recent investor complaints against Topeka financial advisor Craig Friedrichsen (CRD# 2774629) allege that he misrepresented investments and recommended illiquid products, including non-traded real estate investment trusts. Records provided by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority indicate that he is a broker and an investment advisor with Pruco Securities, as well as a representative of GamePlan Financial.

Mr. Friedrichsen’s BrokerCheck report discloses multiple investor complaints. The most recent, filed in January 2023, alleges that as a representative of Voya Financial Advisors, he “recommended investments that were largely concentrated in illiquid, speculative, low-quality, and high commission non-traded real estate investment trusts and Business Development Companies.” The pending complaint alleges damages of approximately $50,000.

A second investor complaint, filed in November 2021, alleges that he sold alternative investment products which were misrepresented “as low risk, safe and suitable investments.” The pending complaint alleges damages of $100,001.

According to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Craig Friedrichsen holds 26 years of securities industry experience. Based in Topeka and Overland Park, Kansas, he has been a broker and an investment advisor with Pruco Securities since 2020. He is a representative of GamePlan Financial. His registration history includes Voya Financial Advisors (Topeka, Kansas; 2008-2020), H&R Block Financial Advisors (Overland Park, Kansas; 2005-2008), and ING Advisers (Topeka, Kansas and Windsor, Connecticut; 1996-2005). His credentials include the passage of five securities industry qualifying exams: the General Securities Representative Examination, or Series 7; the Securities Industry Essentials Examination, or SIE; the Investment Company Products/Variable Contracts Representative Examination, or Series 6TO; the Uniform Securities Agent State Law Examination, or Series 63; and the Uniform Investment Adviser Law Examination, or Series 65. He is licensed in Arizona, Arkansas, the District of Columbia, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, and Texas. (Information current as of March 1, 2023.)
