Glenwood Springs, Colorado financial advisor Debbie Birch (CRD# 4043371) allegedly provided investment advice that resulted in six-figure damages, according to a recent investor complaint. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority records show that she is a broker and an investment advisor with Cambridge Investment Research, as well as a representative of Roaring Fork Financial Services.
Ms. Birch’s BrokerCheck report discloses one investor complaint. Filed in May 2023, it alleges that as a representative of Cambridge Investment Research, she recommended an alternative investment that “was misrepresented and not suitable” for the customer in 2014. The pending complaint alleges damages of $200,000.
According to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Debbie Birch holds 23 years of securities industry experience. Based in Glenwood Springs, Colorado, she has been a broker and an investment advisor with Cambridge Investment Research since 2020. She is also a representative of Roaring Fork Financial Services, whose website describes her as the firm’s founder and president. “After spending over 20 years in the tax preparation industry, Debbie saw the need to offer financial planning to her clients,” her profile on the website states. “She believes that tax and financial planning are not separate issues. Rather they work together as equal partners to pursue the financial future of clients and their families.”
Ms. Birch’s registration history includes Avantax Investment Services (Glenwood Springs, Colorado; 2004-2020), H&R Block Financial Advisors (Detroit, Michigan; 2001-2005), and Birchtree Financial Services (Minneapolis, Minnesota; 2000-2001). Her credentials include the passage of three securities industry qualifying exams: the General Securities Representative Examination, or Series 7; the Securities Industry Essentials Examination, or SIE; and the Uniform Securities Agent State Law Examination, or Series 63.
