Diana Palmieri: $99K Complaint Against Vanderbilt Advisor

Woodbury, New York financial advisor Diana Palmieri (CRD# 2889428) recently received an investor complaint alleging that she recommended unsuitable non-traded REITs and BDCs. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority records show that she is a broker and an investment advisor with Vanderbilt Securities and Vanderbilt Advisory Services, respectively.

Ms. Palmieri’s BrokerCheck report discloses one investor complaint. Filed in February 2024, it alleges that as a representative of Vanderbilt Securities, she recommended unsuitable and illiquid non-traded real estate investment trusts and business development corporations. The pending complaint alleges damages of $99,000.

In 2019, Vanderbilt Securities published a profile of Ms. Palmieri in which she describes her work with firemen and policemen. “We talk estate planning, pensions, insurance planning, options, college planning and many other topics important to their future and their family’s future,” she explained. “Retirement planning is not one size fits all. I can gather information in our first meeting to get a gauge on their needs. I never push. I give them options and let them make the choices based on what we discussed. I empower them with the information they need to make decisions.”

According to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Diana Palmieri holds 16 years of securities industry experience. Based in Woodbury, New York, she has been a broker with Vanderbilt Securities since 2009 and an investment advisor with Vanderbilt Advisory Services since 2021.
