Don Wallace: DH Hill Advisor Lands 6-Figure Investor Complaint

Fort Lauderdale financial advisor Don Wallace (CRD# 1471984) allegedly made an unsuitable investment recommendation, according to a recent investor complaint. Records provided by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority show that he is a broker and an investment advisor with DH Hill Securities, having previously been registered with Money Armour and Financial West Group.

Mr. Wallace’s BrokerCheck report discloses two investor complaints. The most recent, filed in May 2023, alleges that as a representative of DH Hill Securities, he misrepresented, unsuitably recommended, and performed inadequate due diligence on an investment in an asset-backed debt product. The pending complaint alleges damages of $450,000.

An earlier investor complaint, filed in 2011, alleged that as a representative of QA3 Financial Corporation, he breached his fiduciary duty, acted negligently, misrepresented material facts, committed fraud, breached contract, and violated Florida securities law. In 2012 the complaint reached a settlement of $14,999.99.

According to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Don Wallace holds 37 years of securities industry experience. Based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, he has been a broker and an investment advisor with DH Hill Securities since 2017. His past registrations include Money Armour (2010-2019), Financial West Group (2014-2017), DH Hill Advisors (2017), Cambridge Investment Research (2013-2014), Centaurus Financial (2010-2013), Platinum Planning (2009-2010), Sterling Enterprises Group (2009-2010), QA3 Financial (2006-2009), UVest Financial Services Group (2000-2006), SII Investments (1998-2000), Royal Alliance Associates (1989-1997), Integrated Resources Equity Corporation (1988-1989), and American Express Financial Advisors (1986-1988). His credentials include the passage of five securities industry qualifying exams: the General Securities Principal Examination, or Series 24; the General Securities Representative Examination, or Series 7; the Securities Industry Essentials Examination, or SIE; the Uniform Securities Agent State Law Examination, or Series 63; the Uniform Investment Adviser Law Examination, or Series 65; and the Uniform Combined State Law Examination, or Series 66.
