Former Scottsdale, Arizona financial advisor Elaine Zito (CRD# 2849238) recently received an investor complaint alleging that her conduct resulted in six-figure damages. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority and Securities and Exchange Commission records show that she was most recently registered as a broker with Newbridge Securities Corporation and an investment advisor with Portsmouth-SmartLife Financial Group.
In addition, Ms. Zito’s name is listed on a Form D document for Inspired Healthcare Capital, a senior living development company that recently filed for bankruptcy. As InvestmentNews reports, the company sold private placement offerings and alternative investments “through a network of independent contractor broker-dealers,” reportedly receiving “more than $100 million in fees and commissions” for investments that later stopped issuing distributions to investors.
Ms. Zito’s BrokerCheck report discloses multiple investor complaints. The most recent, filed in February 2025, alleges that as a representative of Newbridge Securities Corporation, she breached contract, breached her fiduciary duty, acted negligently, and violated state and federal securities laws in connection with investments in GWG Holdings. The pending complaint alleges damages of $325,000.
An earlier investor complaint, filed in 2022, alleges that as a representative of First Allied Securities, she recommended unsuitable investments and breached contract. The pending complaint alleges damages of $100,000.
A third investor complaint, filed in 2024, alleged that as a Newbridge representative, she breached her fiduciary duty and acted negligently in connection with non-traded real estate investment trusts. In July 2025 the complaint reached a settlement of $2,500.
A fourth investor complaint, filed in 2023, alleged that she breached her fiduciary duty, acted negligently, and breached contract in connection with alternative investments. In 2024 the complaint reached a settlement of $30,000.

Most recently based in Scottsdale, Arizona, she was last registered as a broker with Newbridge Securities Corporation and an investment advisor with Portsmouth-SmartLife Financial Group. Her registration history includes Questar Capital, First Allied Securities, NEXT Financial Group, Woodbury Financial Services, SunAmerica Securities, MetLife Securities, and Royal Alliance Associates. Her credentials include the passage of six securities industry qualifying exams: the Securities Industry Essentials Examination, or SIE; the Uniform Combined State Law Examination, or Series 66; the Uniform Securities Agent State Law Examination, or Series 63; the General Securities Representative Examination, or Series 7; the General Securities Principal Examination, or Series 24; and the Municipal Securities Principal Examination, or Series 53.
