Eric Kuchherzki: $300K Complaint Against Burlingame Advisor

Centaurus Financial stockbroker Eric Kuchherzki (CRD# 2529623) has received an investor complaint alleging six-figure damages. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority records show that he is based in Burlingame, California and resigned from a former broker-dealer firm after allegedly violating internal policies and procedures.

Mr. Kuchherzki’s BrokerCheck report discloses one pending investor complaint against him. Filed in March 2022, it alleges that as a representative of Centaurus Financial, he recommended an unsuitable “speculative, high-risk and illiquid” corporate bond investment. The pending complaint alleges damages of $300,000.

In a statement on the pending complaint’s disclosure, Mr. Kuchherzki “vehemently” denied the allegations and asserted that they are “completely false.” “The investment about which the customers complained were suitable and were recommended based on the customers’ objectives, goals and financial circumstances, and were offered only after their review of all material documentation related to the investment,” he wrote, continuing: “The customers’ confirmed in writing that they not only received the requisite investment documentation/disclosures, but that they fully understood the characteristics and risks of the investment. At all times, I put the customers’ interest first and I will vigorously defend this matter to the fullest extent of the law.”

A second disclosure on Mr. Kuchherzki’s BrokerCheck report concerns his 2012 resignation from Questar Capital. According to the disclosure, he resigned following allegations he violated firm policies and procedures with respect to the sale of a fixed annuity policy “without being submitted to the firm for suitability review as required.”

According to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Eric Kuchherzki holds 15 years of securities industry experience. Based in Burlingame, California, he has been a broker with Centaurus Financial since 2018. His past registrations include Taylor Capital Management, Questar Capital Corporation, Princor Financial Services, Emerson Equity, Foresters Equity Services, A.B. Watley, Millennium Brokerage, Preferredtrade Inc., Gilford Securities, Discover Brokerage Direct, and L.H. Alton & Company. His credentials include the passage of four securities industry qualifying examinations: the General Securities Representative Examination, or Series 7; the Uniform Securities Agent State Law Examination, or Series 63; the Limited Representative-Equity Trader Exam, or Series 55; and the Securities Industry Essentials Examination, or SIE. He is licensed in California, Florida, Maryland, Nevada, Virginia, and Washington. (Information current as of June 12, 2022.)
