Eric Marshall: $75K Bond Complaint Against Legacy Advisor

A recent investor complaint against East Peoria, Illinois financial advisor Eric Marshall (CRD# 4767380) alleges that he made unauthorized transactions. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority records show that he is registered as a broker and an investment advisor with Osaic Wealth, and that he is a representative of Legacy Investment Services.

Mr. Marshall’s BrokerCheck report discloses one investor complaint. Filed in March 2024, it alleges that as a representative of Woodbury Financial Services, he recommended an unsuitable alternative investment and made unauthorized trades in the customer’s bond portfolio. The pending complaint alleges damages of $75,000.

Legacy Investment Services’ website includes a profile of Mr. Marshall that describes him as a Senior Partner at the firm. His services include risk analysis, retirement planning, and income planning, according to the profile, adding that he provides customized strategies to his clients. “He understands the personal complexity many clients feel about retirement and long-term financial planning, and he has access to a variety of tools to provide the analysis and comparison needed to help people feel confident in their decisions,” it states. “Eric strategically partners with other financial professionals who share his vision of putting the client first and bring their own expertise, adding value to a client’s overall experience.”

According to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Eric Marshall holds 19 years of securities industry experience. Based in East Peoria, Illinois, he has been a broker and an investment advisor with Osaic Wealth since January 2024. He was previously registered with Woodbury Financial Services in East Peoria from 2004 until 2024. His credentials include the passage of four securities industry qualifying exams: the Investment Company Products/Variable Contracts Representative Examination, or Series 6; the Securities Industry Essentials Examination, or SIE; the Uniform Securities Agent State Law Examination, or Series 63; and the Uniform Investment Adviser Law Examination, or Series 65.
