Gali Horev: $394K Complaint Against Dempsey Lord Smith Advisor

A recent investor complaint against Irvine, California financial advisor Gali Horev (CRD# 5138931) alleges that his conduct resulted in six-figure damages. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority records show that he is a broker and an investment advisor with Dempsey Lord Smith, as well as a representative of HN Financial Group.

Mr. Horev’s BrokerCheck report discloses one investor complaint. Filed in June 2024, it alleges that as a representative of Dempsey Lord Smith, he committed fraud, misrepresented an investment, and omitted material facts relating to an investment. The pending complaint alleges damages of $394,486.

HN Financial Group’s website includes a profile of Mr. Horev that describes his background and services. “His unique methods were designed to ensure clients are completely informed when it comes to their custom-crafted portfolio and wealth management plans, as he works to help each client ensure a solid financial footing throughout their investing life,” it states. “After almost two decades in the financial industry, where he’s ridden the ebbs and flows of the market, Gali utilizes a variety of investment and diversification techniques meant to sensibly grow his clients’ wealth while protecting assets and limiting tax liability.”

According to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Gali Horev holds 17 years of securities industry experience. Based in Irvine, California, he has been registered as a broker and an investment advisor with Dempsey Lord Smith since 2017. His past registrations include National Securities Corporation, American Investors Company, Private Asset Group, Financial West Group, Morgan Peabody, and Sigma Financial Corporation. His credentials include the passage of four securities industry qualifying exams: the General Securities Representative Examination, or Series 7; the National Commodity Futures Examination, or Series 3; the Securities Industry Essentials Examination, or SIE; and the Uniform Combined State Law Examination, or Series 66. He is licensed in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, and the Virgin Islands. (Information current as of June 22, 2024.)
