Gary DiDonna: Premier Retirement Advisor Has GWG L-Bond Complaint

Investor complaints against Osprey, Florida financial advisor Gary DiDonna (CRD# 1651306) allege that he made unsuitable investment recommendations that resulted in losses. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority records show that he is a broker and investment advisor with Spire Securities, doing business as Premier Retirement Asset Management.

Mr. DiDonna’s BrokerCheck report describes two recent investor complaints. One complaint, filed in June 2022, alleges that as a representative of Spire Securities, he recommended unsuitable investments in GWG L-bonds. The pending complaint alleges damages of $500,000.

A second investor complaint, filed in June 2021, alleges that while a representative of SagePoint Financial and Investors Capital Corp, he provided poor advice regarding annuity withdrawals and recommended unsuitable alternative investments. The pending complaint alleges damages of $300,000.

According to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Gary DiDonna holds 34 years of securities industry experience. Based in Osprey, Florida, he has been a broker and investment advisor with Spire Securities since 2016, doing business as Premier Retirement Asset Management. His past registrations include Investors Capital Corp. (Nokomis, Florida; 2016), SagePoint Financial (Nokomis, Florida; 2013-2016), Prime Capital Services (Nokomis, Florida; 2000-2013), Commonwealth Financial Network (Waltham, Massachusetts; 1994-2000), H.D. Vest Investment Securities (Dallas, Texas; 1988-1994), and Advantage Capital Corporation (Atlanta, Georgia; 1987-1988). His credentials include the passage of four securities industry qualifying examinations: the General Securities Representative Examination, or Series 7; the Securities Industry Essentials Examination, or SIE; the Uniform Securities Agent State Law Examination, or Series 63; and the Uniform Investment Adviser Law Examination, or Series 65. He is licensed in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Washington, and Wisconsin.
