Isaiah Williams: Merrill Advisor Faces Misrepresentation Complaint

Fort Lauderdale financial advisor Isaiah Williams (CRD# 6211219) recently received an investor complaint alleging that his advice resulted in damages. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority records show that he is registered as a broker and an investment advisor with Merrill Lynch.

Mr. Williams’ BrokerCheck report discloses one investor complaint. Filed in May 2024, it alleges that as a representative of Merrill Lynch, he misrepresented material facts and participated in an improper outside business activity between March 2019 and May 2024. The pending complaint alleges unspecified damages.

Merrill Lynch’s website includes a profile of Mr. Williams that describes his background and approach to working with his clients. “Isaiah focuses on delivering a comprehensive approach to managing wealth that begins with listening to a client’s needs and helping to ensure every solution is grounded in understanding what each client wishes to achieve,” it explains. “With access to the investment insights of Merrill and the banking capabilities of Bank of America, Isaiah helps address the various aspects of clients’ financial lives in an ever-changing world. Another section of the website describes his philosophy as an advisor. “I believe the best financial approach is the one that helps you pursue your goals,” it states. “It all starts with a plan intended to help you manage, grow, and preserve your wealth today, while also considering the impact it can have for years to come.”

According to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Isaiah Williams holds seven years of securities industry experience. Based in Fort Lauderdale, Illinois, he has been registered as a broker and an investment advisor with Merrill Lynch since 2017. He was previously registered with UBS Financial Services in Madison, Wisconsin in 2016. His credentials include the passage of three securities industry qualifying exams: the General Securities Representative Examination, or Series 7; the Securities Industry Essentials Examination, or SIE; and the Uniform Combined State Law Examination, or Series 66.
