Jamie Nowakowski: Equitable Advisor Faces 6-Figure Complaints

Equitable Advisors representative Jamie Nowakowski (CRD# 4472043) has received multiple investor complaints alleging her conduct resulted in six-figure damages. Public records filed with a US bankruptcy court in Texas show that at least one current or former client of Ms. Nowakowski is listed as creditor for a $75,000 investment in GWG Holdings. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority records show that she is currently based in Hebron, Connecticut.

Ms. Nowakowski’s BrokerCheck report discloses three investor complaints. The most recent, filed in in May 2023, alleges that as a Coastal Equities representative, she recommended unsuitable direct investments. The pending complaint alleges damages of $100,000.

A second investor complaint, filed in September 2022, alleges that as a Coastal Equities advisor, she misrepresented and recommended unsuitable alternative investments. The pending complaint alleges damages of $250,000.

A third investor complaint, filed in May 2022, alleges that she made unsuitable investment recommendations and failed to perform adequate due diligence on GWG Holdings. The pending complaint alleges damages of $100,000.

Based in Hebron, Connecticut, she has been a broker and an investment advisor with Equitable Advisors since 2020. Her past registrations include Coastal Equities (Hebron, Connecticut; 2017-2020), Wells Fargo Advisors Financial Network (2012-2017), CCO Investment Services Corporation (Mystic, Connecticut; 2006-2012), IFMG Securities (Plainville, Connecticut; 2006), Banc of America Investment Services (Boston, Massachusetts; 2004-2006), and Quick & Reilly (New York, New York; 2001-2004). Her credentials include the passage of seven securities industry qualifying exams: the Investment Company Products/Variable Contracts Principal Examination, or Series 26; the General Securities Principal Examination, or Series 24; the Investment Company Products/Variable Contracts Representative Examination, or Series 6; the General Securities Representative Examination, or Series 7; the Securities Industry Essentials Examination, or SIE; the Uniform Securities Agent State Law Examination, or Series 63; and the Uniform Investment Adviser Law Examination, or Series 65.
