Kevin Dauphinee: $100K-$500K Complaint Against Ex-Portsmouth Advisor

Las Vegas financial advisor Kevin Dauphinee (CRD# 5847437) allegedly provided unsuitable investment advice, according to a recent investor complaint. Securities and Exchange Commission records show that the former Portsmouth Financial Services broker is currently registered as an investment advisor with CreativeOne Wealth and is a representative of Gold Standard Wealth Management.

Mr. Dauphinee’s Investment Adviser Public Disclosure form discloses one investor complaint. Filed in July 2024, it alleges that as a representative of Portsmouth Financial Services, he recommended an unsuitable investment strategy involving fixed and variable annuity products. The pending complaint alleges damages between $100,000 and $500,000.

Gold Standard Wealth Management’s website includes a profile of Mr. Dauphinee that describes his background and experience. “Kevin brings Fortune 100 management experience to the firm following 35 years as a television technology executive and business consultant,” it explains. “Kevin specializes in comprehensive financial planning, integrating elements of taxes, investments, insurance and trusts.”

Elsewhere, the firm describes its services and approach. “Our purpose is your prosperity,” it states. “Combining entrepreneurial accomplishments with seasoned business acumen, we craft a thoughtful vision of your financial future. Adhering to the notion that we have ‘two ears, one mouth and use proportionally’, we first listen to you before making suggestions or recommendations.”

According to the Securities and Exchange Commission, Kevin Dauphinee holds 12 years of securities industry experience. Based in Las Vegas, Nevada, he has been registered as an investment advisor with CreativeOne Wealth since October 2023. His registration history includes Portsmouth Financial Services, AlphaStar Capital Management, Eagle Strategies, NYLife Securities, H&H Retirement Design and Management, Cathay Consultants, Argentus Advisors, SummitAlliance Securities, and New England Securities. His credentials include the passage of five securities industry qualifying exams: the Investment Company Products/Variable Contracts Representative Examination, or Series 6; the General Securities Representative Examination, or Series 7; the Securities Industry Essentials Examination, or SIE; the Uniform Combined State Law Examination, or Series 66; and the Uniform Securities Agent State Law Examination, or Series 63.
