Mark Grueninger: $1.8mm Complaint Against UBS Advisor

A recent investor complaint against Beverly Hills financial advisor Mark Grueninger (CRD# 3031348) alleges that his conduct resulted in damages exceeding $1 million. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority records show that he is registered as a broker and an investment advisor with UBS Financial Services.

Mr. Grueninger’s BrokerCheck report discloses one investor complaint. Filed in July 2024, it alleges that as a representative of UBS Financial Services, he allowed the customers’ accountant to “exceed the scope of his Power of Attorney resulting in his use of Claimants’ line of credit resulting in losses.” The pending complaint alleges damages of $1,885,552.

UBS Financial Services’ website includes a page describing Mr. Grueninger’s background and experience as a member of The Grueninger Group, a practice within the firm. “When you build strong partnerships with clients, great things can happen,” it states. “This is Mark’s experience and the principle that guides him each day in his practice. He takes a holistic approach and serves his clients on all levels of their financial lives—from their banking and lending needs to wealth structuring strategies.”

Elsewhere, the website describes the practice’s goals. “Our mission is to provide quality strategies customized to your needs,” it explains. “Our goal is to be your primary source of financial advice. To this end, we concentrate our efforts on developing long-term relationships through a commitment to quality client service.”

According to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Mark Grueninger holds 22 years of securities industry experience. Based in Beverly Hills, California, he has been registered as a broker and an investment advisor with UBS Financial Services since 2014. His past registrations include Merrill Lynch, Banc of America, and UBS Painewebber. His credentials include the passage of three securities industry qualifying exams: the General Securities Representative Examination, or Series 7; the Securities Industry Essentials Examination, or SIE; and the Uniform Combined State Law Examination, or Series 66. He is licensed in Arizona, California, Colorado, Delaware, Missouri, Texas, and Washington. (Information current as of August 17, 2024.)
