A recent, closed investor complaint against Shenandoah, Texas financial advisor Mark Sitter (CRD# 1810591) alleged that his conduct resulted in six-figure damages. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority records show that he is registered as a broker with KCD Financial, doing business as Chasewood Wealth Management.
In addition, Mr. Sitter’s name appears on a Form D filing for Inspired Healthcare Capital, a senior living development company that recently entered bankruptcy. According to an InvestmentNews report, the company sold private placement offerings and alternative investments “through a network of independent contractor broker-dealers,” reportedly receiving “more than $100 million in fees and commissions” for investments that later stopped issuing distributions to investors.
Mr. Sitter’s BrokerCheck report discloses multiple investor complaints. The most recent, filed in 2019, alleged that as a representative of Capital Financial Services, he breached his fiduciary duty, failed in his supervisory duties, and misrepresented material facts regarding annuity and real estate investments. The complaint alleged damages of $500,000 and was closed with no action taken.
An earlier investor complaint, filed in 2017, alleged that as a representative of Capital Financial Services, he made misrepresentations regarding an unsuitable investment. In 2018 the complaint reached a settlement of $72,000.
A third investor complaint, filed in 2002, alleged that as a Merrill Lynch representative, he recommended risky mutual fund investments. The complaint reached a settlement of $4,000.
A fourth investor complaint, filed in 2001, alleged that as a Merrill Lynch representative, he recommended unsuitable mutual fund investments. In 2003 the complaint reached a settlement of $75,000.
According to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Mark Sitter holds 37 years of securities industry experience. Based in Shenandoah, Texas, he has been registered as a broker with KCD Financial since 2019, doing business as Chasewood Wealth Management. His past registrations include Capital Financial Services and Merrill Lynch. His credentials include the passage of three securities industry qualifying exams: the Securities Industry Essentials Examination, or SIE; the Uniform Securities Agent State Law Examination, or Series 63; and the General Securities Representative Examination, or Series 7.
