Merriam Rink: GWG L Bond Complaint Against Ausdal Advisor

A recent investor complaint against Bettendorf, Iowa financial advisor Merriam Rink (CRD# 1380705) alleges that she engaged in various forms of misconduct relating to GWG L bond recommendations, resulting in losses. Filed in April 2023, it alleges that as a representative of Ausdal Financial Partners, he she violated securities laws, breached her fiduciary duty, and recommended unsuitable investments in GWG L bonds. Equity Sales Company (Cincinnati, Ohio; 1995-2003), and American Express Financial Advisors (Minneapolis, Minnesota; 1985-1995). Her credentials include the passage of six securities industry qualifying exams: the Investment Company Products/Variable Contracts Representative Examination, or Series 6; the Direct Participation Programs Representative Examination, or Series 22; the General Securities Representative Examination, or Series 7; the Securities Industry Essentials Examination, or SIE; the Uniform Securities Agent State Law Examination, or Series 63; and the Uniform Investment Adviser Law Examination, or Series 65. She is licensed in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New York, South Dakota, Texas, and Vermont.
