Michael Siek: Suitability Complaint Against Ex-Aegis Advisor

Recent investor complaints against New York City financial advisor Michael Siek (CRD# 2072767) allege that he recommended unsuitable investments. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority records show that he is registered as a broker with Dominari Securities, having previously been registered with Aegis Capital.

Mr. Siek’s BrokerCheck report discloses eight investor complaints. The most recent, filed in March 2026, alleges that as a representative of Aegis Capital, he made unsuitable investment recommendations of equity products, breached his fiduciary duty, acted negligent in his supervisory duties, and violated Regulation Best Interest. The pending complaint alleges unspecified damages.

An earlier investor complaint, also filed in March 2026, similarly alleges that as a representative of Aegis Capital, he recommended unsuitable investments, breached his fiduciary duty, violated Regulation Best Interest, and engaged in negligent supervision. The pending complaint alleges unspecified damages.

A third investor complaint, filed in 2024, alleged that as an Aegis representative, he recommended unsuitable stock products. In March 2026 the complaint reached a settlement of $450,000.

A fourth investor complaint, filed in 2024, similarly alleged that he made unsuitable recommendations as an Aegis representative. In 2025 the complaint reached a settlement of $995,000.

According to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Michael Siek holds 35 years of securities industry experience. Based in New York City, he has been registered as a broker with Dominari Securities since March 2024. His past registrations include Aegis Capital, Spencer Trask Ventures, Laidlaw Equities, TR Winston & Company, and Lehman Brothers. His credentials include the passage of four securities industry qualifying exams: the Securities Industry Essentials Examination, or SIE; the Uniform Securities Agent State Law Examination, or Series 63; the General Securities Representative Examination, or Series 7; and the General Securities Principal Examination, or Series 24.
