Mood ElAwadi: $1.5mm Complaint Against Wells Fargo Advisor

A recent investor complaint against Orlando, Florida financial advisor Mood ElAwadi (CRD# 5319152) alleges that his advice resulted in seven-figure damages. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority records show that he is registered as a broker with Wells Fargo Clearing Services and an investment advisor with Wells Fargo Advisors.

Mr. ElAwadi’s BrokerCheck report discloses one investor complaint. Filed in November 2025, it alleges that as a representative of Wells Fargo, he falsely induced the client into investing in a business that he owned. The pending complaint alleges damages of $1.5 million.

Investors should be aware that FINRA rules prohibit brokers like Mr. ElAwadi from giving customers inaccurate or incomplete information regarding investments. FINRA Rule 2020 specifically stipulates that no registered representative may “effect any transaction in, or induce the purchase or sale of, any security by means of any manipulative, deceptive or other fraudulent device or contrivance.” Brokers who misrepresent the products they recommend risk leading their customers to make unsuitable investments, in violation of FINRA Rule 2111. Brokers who misrepresent and/or recommend unsuitable investments may be liable for damages in the event of losses.

According to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Mood ElAwadi holds 18 years of securities industry experience. Based in Orlando, Florida, he has been registered as a broker with Wells Fargo Clearing Services and an investment advisor with Wells Fargo Advisors since 2019. His registration history includes Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley, and Morgan Keegan & Company. His credentials include the passage of six securities industry qualifying exams: the Securities Industry Essentials Examination, or SIE; the General Securities Representative Examination, or Series 7; the Investment Company Products/Variable Contracts Representative Examination, or Series 6; the General Securities Sales Supervisor – General Module Examination, or Series 10; the General Securities Sales Supervisor – Options Module Examination, or Series 9; and the Uniform Combined State Law Examination, or Series 66. He is licensed in Alabama, California, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, New Jersey, New York, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Wisconsin. (Information current as of December 27, 2025.)
