Toledo, Ohio financial advisor Nate Tuori (CRD# 5809383) recently received an investor complaint alleging that his conduct resulted in losses. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority records show that he is currently registered as a broker and an investment advisor with PNC Investments, having previously been registered with Morgan Stanley.
Mr. Tuori’s BrokerCheck report discloses one investor complaint. Filed in April 2024, it alleges that as a representative of PNC Investments, he “did not accurately explain the features” of investments in principal protected notes. The pending complaint alleges damages of $90,300.
Securities industry rules and standard forbid brokers like Mr. Tuori from providing misleading information regarding investments they recommend to their customers. Perhaps the most germane regulation is FINRA Rule 2020, which states that no broker may “effect any transaction in, or induce the purchase or sale of, any security by means of any manipulative, deceptive or other fraudulent device or contrivance.” A material fact, for reference, is a piece of information that would represent a significant consideration to any investor weighing an investment or strategy, such as its risks or whether their principal investment would be protected. Brokers who misrepresent investments may be liable in the event of losses.
According to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Nate Tuori holds 13 years of securities industry experience. Based in Toledo, Ohio, he has been registered as a broker and an investment advisor with PNC Investments since 2016. His past registrations include Morgan Stanley (Toledo, Ohio; 2012-2016) and Securian Financial Services (Toledo, Ohio; 2010-2012). His credentials include the passage of three securities industry qualifying exams: the General Securities Representative Examination, or Series 7; the Securities Industry Essentials Examination, or SIE; and the Uniform Combined State Law Examination, or Series 66. He is licensed in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Maine, Michigan, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Texas, Virginia, Washington, and Wisconsin.
