Paul McIntyre & Al Dinicola: MSC BD Advisors Face Complaint

Lake Oswego, Oregon financial advisors Paul McIntyre (CRD# 1002368) and Al Dinicola (CRD# 1305518) allegedly recommended unsuitable transactions, according to a six-figure investor complaint. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority records show that each is registered as a broker with MSC BD, and that Mr. McIntyre is also registered as an investment advisor with Fiduciary Capital Management.

Mr. McIntyre and Mr. Dinicola’s BrokerCheck reports disclose the same investor complaint. Filed in June 2026, it alleges that as representatives of MSC BD, they recommended an unsuitable 1031 exchange. The pending complaint alleges damages of $350,000.

In a statement included with the disclosure, the representatives defend themselves against the allegations. “The Firm and representatives deny the allegations and intends to vigorously defend the matter,” the statement reads. “The representatives believe the recommendations were suitable and made in good faith based on the client’s objectives, financial circumstances, tax considerations, and information available at the time. No finding of liability has been made… The representative believes the recommendations were suitable and designed to meet the client’s diversification, income, and tax-deferral objectives. No finding of liability has been made.”

According to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Paul McIntyre holds 41 years of securities industry experience. Based in Lake Oswego, Oregon, he has been registered as a broker with MSC BD since 2007 and an investment advisor with Fiduciary Capital Management since April 2026. His past registrations include First Oregon, DST Investments, Naples Asset Management, Raike Financial Group, First Florida Securities, and McDonald Investments. Mr. Dinicola, meanwhile, is also based in Lake Oswego and has been registered with MSC BD since 2018. Mr. McIntyre is licensed in California, Florida, Illinois, North Carolina, Oregon, and Wyoming. Mr. Dinicola is licensed in California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Louisiana, North Carolina, and Oregon. (Information current as of June 21, 2026.)
