Irvine, California financial advisor Robert Zink (CRD# 5105262) recently received an investor complaint alleging that his conduct resulted in eight-figure damages. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority records show that he is registered as a broker with Emerson Equity, having previously been registered with Whitehall-Parker Securities.
Mr. Zink’s BrokerCheck report discloses one recent investor complaint. Filed in May 2026, it alleges that as a representative of Whitehall-Parker Securities, he breached contract, acted negligently, breached his fiduciary duty, made misrepresentations and omissions of material facts, and breached state and federal securities laws, including Regulation Best Interest. The pending complaint alleges damages of $10 million.
A second disclosure on his BrokerCheck report concerns Mr. Zink’s termination from Colorado Financial Service Corporation. Filed in 2020, the disclosure states that the firm terminated him after an internal investigation concluded that he “circumvented Colorado Financial Service Corporation and received a payment in the amount of $5,394 from a client for a transaction that the rep was not licensed to engage in.” It also found that he allegedly “violated FINRA Rule 2210-Communications with the Public, by utilizing marketing communication materials without the firm’s prior review and approval.”

Based in Irvine, California, he has been registered as a broker with Emerson Equity since 2023. His past registrations include Whitehall-Parker Securities, Colorado Financial Service Corporation, MICG Investment Management, and Canyon Creek Financial. His credentials include the passage of three securities industry qualifying exams: the Securities Industry Essentials Examination, or SIE; the Uniform Securities Agent State Law Examination, or Series 63; and the Direct Participation Programs Representative Examination, or Series 22. He is licensed in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Maryland, Michigan, Montana, Nebraska, Oregon, Texas, and Washington.
