Rudy Anguiano: Why Did LPL Fire Alexander Capital Advisor?

Red Bank, New Jersey financial advisor Rudy Anguiano (CRD# 5188950) was recently terminated by his former member firm in connection with alleged rule violations. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority records show that the former LPL Financial representative is currently registered as a broker and an investment advisor with Alexander Capital, doing business as Anguiano Capital Partners.

Mr. Anguiano’s BrokerCheck report discloses his termination from LPL Financial. Filed in November 2025, it states that the firm fired him in connection with allegations that he participated in an outside business activity “with prior notice and approval; and participated in and directed clients to private investments.”

For reference, FINRA Rule 3280 forbids brokers like Mr. Anguiano from participating in private securities transactions, with the exception of transactions made under certain specified conditions. The rule describes such trades as “any securities transaction outside the regular course or scope of an associated person’s employment with a member.” Also referred to as selling away, private securities transactions are permissible in some circumstances: for instance, as transactions with immediate family members for which no FINRA associated person receives selling compensation, provided the representative provides written notice to their member firm. When brokers engage in private securities transactions under such exceptions, they are generally also required to follow their member firm’s policies and procedures governing such. Representatives who engage in unapproved private securities transactions may subject to disciplinary action and/or held liable for damages.

According to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Rudy Anguiano holds 18 years of securities industry experience. Based in Red Bank, New Jersey, he has been registered broker and an investment advisor with Alexander Capital since January 2026, doing business as Anguiano Capital Partners. His registration history includes LPL Financial, Ameriprise Financial Services, Waddell & Reed, Wells Fargo Advisors, US Bancorp Investments, and WaMu Investments. His credentials include the passage of five securities industry qualifying exams: the Securities Industry Essentials Examination, or SIE; the Uniform Combined State Law Examination, or Series 66; the Uniform Securities Agent State Law Examination, or Series 63; the General Securities Representative Examination, or Series 7; and the Investment Company Products/Variable Contracts Representative Examination, or Series 6. He is licensed in California. (Information current as of January 17, 2026.)
