Shirley Wong: GWG L Bond Complaint Against NI Advisors Rep
Daly City financial advisor Shirley Wong (CRD# 4869184) has received investor complaints alleging she recommended unsuitable investments, including a GWG L bond. Financial Industry Regulatory Records show that she is a broker and an investment advisor with NI Advisors. She is also the president of AK Advisors.
Ms. Wong’s BrokerCheck report discloses two investor complaints. The most recent, filed in June 2022, alleges that as a representative of NI Advisors, she recommended an unsuitable GWG L bond. The pending complaint alleges damages of $50,000. A second investor complaint, filed in June 2022, alleges that as a representative of NI Advisors, Ms. Wong made unsuitable transactions and breached contract. The pending complaint alleges damages of $505,700.

Based in Daly City, New York, she has been a broker and an investment advisor with NI Advisors since 2014. Her past registrations include NI Advisors (Milpitas, California; 2011-2012), World Group Securities (Burlingame, California; 2007-2009), Citicorp Investment Services (San Francisco, California; 2005-2007), and AXA Advisors (San Francisco, California and New York, New York; 2004-2005). Her credentials include the passage of three securities industry qualifying exams: the General Securities Representative Examination, or Series 7; the Uniform Combined State Law Examination, or Series 66; and the Securities Industry Essentials Examination, or SIE.
