Solomon Tobal: Ex-Morgan Stanley Advisor Lands Complaints

Hackensack, New Jersey financial advisor Solomon Tobal (CRD# 7643877) recently received an investor complaint alleging that his conduct resulted in losses. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority records show that he is registered as a broker and an investment advisor with Wells Fargo Advisors, having previously been registered with Morgan Stanley

Mr. Tobal’s BrokerCheck report discloses two investor complaints. Filed in July and August, 2025, both allege that as a representative of Morgan Stanley, he made misrepresentations regarding the commissions charged on equity trades. One also alleges that he misrepresented the placement fee on an alternative investment, while the other alleges that he misrepresented the rate charged on an advisory account. The pending complaints allege unspecified damages.

Various FINRA rules prohibit the conduct alleged in the complaints against Mr. Tobal. FINRA Rule 2020, for instance, stipulates that no broker shall “effect any transaction in, or induce the purchase or sale of, any security by means of any manipulative, deceptive or other fraudulent device or contrivance.” FINRA Rule 2010, meanwhile, states that FINRA-associated persons must “observe high standards of commercial honor and just and equitable principles of trade,” which generally means that they may not fail to follow a customer’s instructions. Brokers who violate these rules may be held liable for damages.

According to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Solomon Tobal holds two years of securities industry experience. Based in Hackensack, New Jersey, he has been registered as a broker and an investment advisor with Wells Fargo Advisors since July 2025. His past registrations include His credentials include the passage of four securities industry qualifying exams: the Uniform Combined State Law Examination, or Series 66; the Uniform Investment Adviser Law Examination, or Series 65; the General Securities Representative Examination, or Series 7TO; and the Securities Industry Essentials Examination, or SIE.
