Stephen Parks: $1mm-$5mm Complaint Against Skystone Advisor

A recent investor complaint against Dallas, Texas financial advisor Stephen Parks (CRD# 5074732) alleges that he recommended unsuitable alternative investments, resulting in seven-figure damages. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority records show that he is registered as a broker with Skystone Securities.

Mr. Parks’ BrokerCheck report discloses one investor complaint. Filed in April 2025, it alleges that as a representative of Skystone Securities, he recommended two unsuitable alternative investments that “generated substantial revenue” for the firm, and further that he misrepresented the investments and failed to conduct adequate due diligence in connection with at least one of the products. The pending investor complaint alleges damages between $1 million and $5 million.

A section of Mr. Parks’ LinkedIn profile describes his background and services as the managing director of Skystone Securities. “A distinguished career, with an impressive record of achievement in community banking,” it states. “Provided strategic direction by aligning business goals with acquisition of venture capitalists and angel investors raising multimillion dollars in capital. These actions optimized revenues and increased net operating income. An innovative and award-winning executive with an entrepreneurial spirit and edge for success.”

According to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Stephen Parks holds 13 years of securities industry experience. Based in Dallas, Texas, he has been registered as a broker with Skystone Securities since 2020. His past registrations include Commerce Street Capital, Samco Capital Markets, and Penson Financial Services. His credentials include the passage of three securities industry qualifying exams: the Uniform Securities Agent State Law Examination, or Series 63; the Securities Industry Essentials Examination, or SIE; and the General Securities Representative Examination, or Series 7. He is licensed in California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Massachusetts, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, and Texas. (Information current as of June 2, 2025.)
