Taylor Armstrong: $5mm Complaint Against Aurora Advisor

Kirkland, Washington financial advisor Taylor Armstrong (CRD# 6984140) recently received an investor complaint alleging that his conduct resulted in six-figure damages. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority records show that he is registered as a broker with Aurora Securities and an investment advisor with Secure Asset Management, doing business as Real Estate Transition Solutions.

Mr. Armstrong’s BrokerCheck report discloses one investor complaint. Filed in September 2025, it alleges that as a representative of Aurora Securities, he mismanaged the customer’s account or accounts in connection with real estate investments. The pending complaint alleges damages of $5 million.

FINRA Rule 2010 requires FINRA-associated persons to “observe high standards of commercial honor and just and equitable principles of trade.” Many types of unethical conduct, including the mismanagement of accounts or the failure to follow a customer’s instructions, may be found to constitute violations of FINRA Rule 2010, provided the alleged activities occur “in the conduct of [the member’s] business.” Brokers who fail to uphold FINRA Rule 2010 may be held liable in the event of losses.

According to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Taylor Armstrong holds six years of securities industry experience. Based in Kirkland, Washington and Portland, Oregon, he has been registered as a broker with Aurora Securities and an investment advisor with Secure Asset Management since 2021, doing business as Real Estate Transition Solutions. His past registrations include Concorde Asset Management (Mercer Island, Washington; 2020-2021), Concorde Investment Services (Mercer Island, Washington; 2020-2021), and Voya Financial Advisors (Bellevue, Washington; 2018-2019). His credentials include the passage of three securities industry qualifying exams: the Securities Industry Essentials Examination, or SIE; the General Securities Representative Examination, or Series 7TO; and the Uniform Combined State Law Examination, or Series 66. He is licensed in Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Louisiana, Michigan, Nevada, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Texas, Utah, Washington, and Wisconsin.
