Tyrone Pang of MassMutual Barred From Financial Industry

According to a release dated December 28, 2017, Tyrone Pang of MassMutual has been barred by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA). Pang agreed to the bar by signing a Letter of Acceptance, Waiver and Consent with FINRA.

Pang previous worked for NYLife Securities. His employment with NYLife was terminated in June of 2015 for “violation of company policy by excepting a customer’s check made payable directly to himself for a payment of a life insurance premium.” According to Pang, he did this as a favor for a relative “because [the] client was out of the country and could not make payment.” In March of 2017, Pang began employment with MassMutual.

Ultimately, Pang was barred by FINRA for failing to appear for on-the-record testimony pursuant to FINRA Rule 8210. Presumably, FINRA requested Pang to submit to on-the-record testimony in an investigation regarding his termination from NYLife.

Pang worked in the securities industry from 2008 to 2017 and has no customer complaints on his record.
